Please find attached a copy of a news release distributed by the Solicitor General, in cooperation with the RCMP, regarding the success to date of the National DNA Data Bank.

This is a "good news" story which demonstrates that the Data Bank system is working. It's success is due to an enthusiastic group of individuals within a number of federal and provincial government departments, the RCMP, and police agencies across the country; all working together cooperatively to create a powerful investigative tool.

We should all take pride in this accomplishment.
